Factors Effective on the Success of Husbandry Cooperatives A Case Study of Eastern Azarbaijan Province

Abstract:
Husbandry Cooperatives have a great role in the rural development of the nation and are recognized as one of the important means for accelerating it. The current study aims at surveying factors effective in the success of these cooperatives in 1390. The statistical population consists of all husbandry cooperatives in Eastern Azarbaijnan which mounts to 56. Interview and questionnaire were data collections techniques and their analysis was made through descriptive and inferential statistics. The results obtained from factor analysis on helping and hindering factors to the success of husbandry cooperatives show that level of education and experience, management and financial resources, organizational structure and members’ performance, have been most important factors contributing to the success of these cooperatives accounting for almost 89 percent of the variance. On the other hand, poor expertise and awareness, structural weakness and poor social-financial capital, poor accountability and cooperation were identified as the most important hindering factors to cooperatives’ success accounting for about 84 percent of the variance.
