Prediction of Burnout Based on Perfectionism and Type A Behavior amongst the Firefighters of Khoram Abad City

The research purpose is to predict burnout based on perfectionism and type A behavior amongst the firefighters of Khoram Abad City. The sample comprised 100 people working in the fire departments of Khoram Abad City who were selected through simple random sampling. The research tools included Maslach Burnout Inventory، Terry Short Perfectionism Scale and Najarian''s Type A Behavior Scale. Data obtained were analyzed using Pearson''s correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis. Findings indicate that burnout correlates negatively with positive perfectionism and positively with type A behavior. However، negative perfectionism demonstrated no meaningful relationship with burnout.
