Eliminating the Barriers to Sharing Knowledge in Organization Based on Islamic Teachings

The present article aims to analyze the potential barriers of sharing knowledge through Islamic teachings and finding the solutions to eliminate the barriers. In this approach; the principals of knowledge management are introduced and considering the subject (sharing knowledge) as one of the most important processes of knowledge management, 35 potential barriers of sharing knowledge are introduced. The35 mentioned barriers include 14 individual, 13 organizational and 8 technological barriers. 14 individual barriers are time, reduced job security, ignoring the value of knowledge, the superiority of explicit sharing knowledge, administrative hierarchy…). 13 organizational barriers are lack of strategy in knowledge management, lack of management guidance, lack of space for sharing knowledge, lack of reward systems, organizational culture,….. 8 technological barriers are lack of education and technical support, unrealistic expectations in technological abilities…. Documentary analyses of Islamic resources and teachings.The results of the research define 14 solutions based on Islamic teachings. Time management, useful knowledge, spending knowledge, useful working experiences, building trust, communication, pietism,orderliness,uprightness,relativism, thankfulness, forgiveness, humility, avoiding envy. The author of the article concludes that all of the mentioned solutions are related to each other and have created a regular grid.
