Testing the validity of teacher's job satisfaction model based on Lent & Brown Social-Cognitive Model

the Lent & Brown social-cognitive model of teacher''s job satisfaction is important model regarding its implications in psychological intervention. The purpose of this study was to investigate and test the Lent & Brown teacher''s satisfaction model (2006). Statistical population of current study was Karaj high school teachers. Four hundred eighteen teachers of Karaj city were selected through cluster random sampling and responded questionnaires of job satisfaction، positive effect، goal progress، goal supported work related، work related self efficacy، and work conditions. results of current study implied that Lent & Brown Model fitted well. It indicates that positive affect has a direct and indirect effect on work satisfaction; and also goal support factor has an indirect effect on work satisfaction mediated by work conditions; it was also shows that goal support has a direct effect on goal progress while the goal progress has no significant effect on work satisfaction. current research is an important step in evaluating one of the important teacher''s job satisfaction model and the results can be effective theoretically and pragmatically in school context.
