Assessment of social adjustment monolingual and bilingual children (with special family experience) in Kermanshah City

This study aims to evaluate the social adjustment of monolingual and bilingual children in two areas in the city of Kermanshah. The study was conducted through the ex post facto method. This research was a comparative study of the causes of their occurrence. The study included all primary school children in two educational areas in Kermanshah. The study sample consisted of 40 students (20 of them were monolingual students and 20 were bilingual). This amount is split equally between boys and girls. (10 girls and 10 boys were monolingual and 10 girls and 10 boys were bilingual). A convenience sampling method was used. To collect the data, Ruther’s Child behavior questionnaire was used. The analysis of the data was done by descriptive statistics such as mean, variance, etc. In addition, in the inferential statistics, statistically significant mean difference (Independent t-test) was used. Based on the results of the test, the hypothesis, in 0/05 significant level shows a difference between social adjustment of monolingual and bilingual children. In 0/05 significant level, no significant difference was observed between girls and boys in social conflicts, and in 0/05 significance level there is no differences between social adjustment in boys and girls in primary schools. there are Significant differences in the adjustment between bilingual and monolingual children, but there is no significant difference in social adjustment between bilingual boys and girls and social adjustment of boys and girls that were monolingual.
