Survey of e-readiness base of CSPP model in Mashhad university libraries

This study takes a CSPP (Computer Systems Policy Project) model to study electronic readiness in the university libraries of Mashhad. The research presented is a survey and the statistical population of this study included 54 supervisors and managers of libraries and informatics sections who were selected by stratified sampling method. Then, by using the Delphi method and the CSPP model, the electronic readiness appropriate to the university libraries was introduced. The findings of the present study indicated that there was no significant difference among university libraries in social, technical and legal terms, but, in CSPP model and economic terms, public universities were of a higher status. Studying the electronic readiness in university libraries provided a good overview of the points of strength and weakness, or, in other words, the digital divide, among the libraries.
