Devotional education in the Quran's view

One of the scientific and ethical aspects of the Quran is its method of devotional education. The paper deals with the foundations, aspects, objectives, characteristics and challenges of devotional education in the light the Quran. Thus, it depicts the Quranic method on human’s upbringing so that he has to serve his Lord’s will and pleasure. The present author, after giving the etymological description of the related words such as worship and education [pedagogy], cites God-centrism and human existential poverty as the foundations of devotional education. In addition, he discusses various rational, physical and socio-political aspects of devotional education. Then, he asserts that the main and ultimate objective behind pedagogy [education] is visiting Allah. Moreover, the author introduces humility, honesty, love and knowledge as characteristics of the devotional education. Finally, he delves into the challenges and barriers that hinder devotional pedagogy [education].
