Needs Identification for Determining the Type of Aerology Systems in Shahrekord Airport

Atmospheric conditions have a direct effect on safety of the flights. In all air traffic control centers there are aerology sections their work is so important as watchtowers. Meteorology organization plays an effective role on the safety of flights. In addition to watchtower, there is a meteorological tower and other meteorological equipment installed inside the airport runway. Thus, a meteorology report presents weather conditions and other atmospheric condition to watchtower. According to the above mentioned, the goal of this research is identifying the needs of aerology of the airport and prioritizing them by experts and engineers of meteorological organization and Shahrekord airport.This research was done by Delphi’s technique. Then, the prioritization and preferences were determined through by SPSS software and Friedman test. The results show that CATII is the first priority for installation in Shahrekord airport.
