Student's satisfaction from the education unit performance of some School of Lorestan University of Medical Sciences

Abstract:
Background and Aim
this study was performedin line with customer orientationto measure student's satisfaction from the education unit performance of some schools of Lorestan University Education.
Material And Methods
IN this cross-sectional study, 310 students of Lorestan University of Medical Sciences were selected byrandom multistage stratified sampling. Data collected by the researcher with use of questionnaire with 27 closedquestions in four areas of education performance, teachingquality, Administrative and Supervision. Facial and contextual validity of the questionnaire verified by faculty masters andexpertsand their reliability confirms by preliminary Study and Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.895. Satisfaction with less than 33.3% was considered as low satisfaction, 33.3-66.7% as medium satisfaction and more than 66.7%as high satisfaction. Results were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, variation range test and repeated measures analysis.
Results
Thehighest satisfaction was dedicated to administrative domain (p=0.001).In the area of education performance, Registration and taking courses within the stipulated time (68.8±25.3), in the area of teaching quality having ordered appearance (66.9 ± 27.1),In the administrativearea maintainingstudents’ educational records by the administrative staff (65.1 ± 26.1) and in supervision and guiding area, supervision of education unitin on-time courses (63 ± 27.2) had the highest level of satisfaction. Satisfaction in the area of educationin the point of gender (p=0.04) and in all areasin term of level ofeducation (p=0.001) andschool of education (p=0.001) had a meaningful difference.
Conclusion
Students have the averagelevel of satisfaction to education unit performance of schoolsthat was involved in this study.Therefore, it is recommended senior managers of universities can help to improve the quality of educational services by utilizing more monitoring and evaluating, honoring customers, encourage qualified personnel, holding briefing sessions for students in university admission andholding training classes for staff, providing equipment, facilities and training.
