The indexes of an advanced society in the Quran

The key concern of the present article is to answer the question that what does the Holy Qurān mean by advancement and through which – mainly – qualitative and structural indexes – apt for social analyses – one can understand and explain it. Accordingly, the author has tried to infer the meaning and indexes of advancement based on the revelation order of the Qurān. Considering the awe-inspiring and successful reformative movement that was created by the Qurān during its revelation in Mecca and Medina, he attempts to have a logical study of the verses related to the general atmosphere of revelation and put forth the samples and historical-interpretive evidences. In addition to the statement of the key concepts and methodology of the subject, he addresses public knowledge, social solidarity and security as three major social indexes that can be used to specify the general structure advancement in the Quran's view. All in all, this study has successfully provided a general picture of advancement plan in the three aforementioned indexes.
