The Status of International Higher Education in Iran: s Comprehensive Scientific Map

International higher education is among the main signs and symbols of quality in the college systems. The last two decades› experience of expanding international university campuses, science and technology parks, technology development centers and the growth of post-graduate studies, show that Iran›s universities mostly obtain the opportunities of growth and expansion from the explicit contents of the policies and upperhand documents of the science and technology policy-making centers. Despite the fact this process is seriously important for the enhancement of a quality and supra-national higher education system, it is considered a fact in Iran›s higher education. In the higher education systems of the developed countries, one of the fundamental policies is attending to international cooperations and interactions and internationalizing the higher education system; such countries have reaped the respective benefits in this regard. With regard to the gargantuan policies and upperhand documents in directing scientific activities, this article has made use of descriptive-analytical method to analyze the status of international higher education in Iran›s Comprehensive Scientific Map. Moreover, this article has delved into the Map›s capacities and foreseen opportunities of international higher education with regards to the benefits of attracting foreign university students to Iran.
