Crime Prevention Management in Iran

Abstract:
Prevention of crime is one the basic strategies in social control area. Although global experience in different policy areas of social crimes management is provided, and several theorists in the field provide theories, but in Iran, yet the lack of a comprehensive policy in this area is felt more than ever. In the years after the Glorious Islamic Revolution domination of political economical and security in the field of social harms has been caused to horrible absences of macro-social perspective in detection, management and control of social crimes in the planning, implementation and judicial fields. The present paper is an attempt to take advantage of library and documentary study while reviewing the status of social crimes and the resulting problems in the country, weaknesses and vagueness of this research will also be examined. At the end of this attempt with Utilizing a comprehensive ecological model and theoretical approaches in the field of literature and the experience of similar programs in Iran and the World, appropriate strategies and programs to identify and manage social crimes are given.
