Abstract:
Supplication is defined as praying and expressing one's weakness to Allah which is done passionately and from the deepest part of one's heart. Since supplication involves internal interactions, it is lyrical in nature and because it contains informative topics for human beings, it is lyrical-didactic.For those hearing the name, Imam Sajjad's is associated with supplication and praying to God. He employed the cultural elements of supplication to establish the truth of the Shia and real Islam; he paved the way for the supplication discourse. In this supplication, the phonetic level has been utilized to increase the tone and influence of the discourse syntactically through beautiful phrases with concentration on choosing the appropriate words and style. It not only coordinates words and speech together but also creates the tonal beauty. Semantically focusing on choosing the appropriate words, it employs the proper words for speech and pays attention to the aesthetics and literary elements in conjunction with inducing the concepts; all the above-mentioned levels work in line with the general framework of the text.
