Analysis of the relationship between sustainability in the informal neighborhood and social capital of residents

The recent emphasis of sustainable plans for using of local capital and improving living conditions through internal resources is one of the most appropriate solutions for solving the problems of informal neighborhoods. Thus، utilization of social capital is one of the low cost and reliable methods for achieving these neighborhoods sustainability. This descriptive survey research، has done with aim of analyzes relationship between social capital and neighborhood sustainability in one informal neighborhood of Tehran. A questionnaire was used for data collection، Factor analysis was used for Indicators Summarization and opinions of experts was used for Analyze the results and Designing a Model Research. The results in residents group shows that significant relationship between social capital and sustainability is established. This Capital is effecting on the economic and social development more than environmental development. Also، it is proved that mental components of social capital have an accepted and positive relationship with all components of local sustainability، like last researches'' results. However، it is showed that more affluent inhabitants have more social capital، unlike last result of researches. So، formation and usage of social capital in less developed neighborhood has different pattern in comparison with developed ones.
