Effective Factors on Academic Identity of Students (Case Study: Payame Noor, Azad and None-Profit University)

Abstract:
Objectives
The main purpose of the present study is to explore the effect of factors within the university such as academic culture, the cultural capital of the students and university type on academic identity of the students.
Method
This research was a survey and applied study. The study population was all the students of Payam Noor, Non-profit and Azad universities. Based on Cokaran formula, 205 students were selected using stratified sampling method. Data analysis was performed by SPSS software.
Results
The results of the study show that According to one way ANOVA, among all of the studied universities and based on Scheffé post hoc tests there was significant difference in terms of academic identity. The results of the regression model for the independent variables on the dependent variable indicate that the academic culture and cultural capital estimate nearly 4/46% of the variance of academic identity variable.
Conclusion
In order to confirm Bourdieu's and Boucher’s theories : the article indicates the effect of academic culture, cultural capital of students and university type on academic identity of students
