Examining and Introducing Persian Zoroastrian literature

One of the new species of Persian literature is “Persian Zoroastrian literature” which was written by Zoroastrianism followers in new Persian language alongside other works in Persian Avesta and Pahlavi after the advent of Islam in Iran. These works are mostly the translations of the stories, mythology, customs, traditions, laws, rules, and spells which are in Avesta and Pahlavi treatises. In the present paper, the author tries to introduce the most outstanding works of Persian Zoroastrian literature. He categorizes these works in several groups, and then mentions the pre-eminent works of every group. These categories are: 1. Translation and interpretation of Avesta, Pahlavi, and Pāzand texts; 2. complete essays; 3. Traditions; 4. History and literature; 5. Moral treatises.
