Character and characterization in the " Quiet Love Story" Novel

Author(s):
Abstract:
Character is a key factor in the fiction and characterization is one of the main techniques of the great novelists. Characters carry the main weight of the story and they are moving the story forward by their conversations and actions. The “quiet Love Story” Novel, the last fiction of Nader Ibrahimi, is an outstanding novel and indicates his ability in characterization. Ibrahimi in this work, as the main character of the story, recreates his own and his wife’s life and personality. He creates an Exquisite and perdurable work by developing new ways of characterization, narrativisation and the characters’ dialogues.
He narrates the political and social conditions of his time symbolically with an artistic language in the form of a novel and turns this historical fact into fictional reality with his powerful fantasy.
The hero of the novel is a troubled man caught between tradition and modernity. The personality of the characters becomes obvious in their dialogues and discussions; and the novel is more a report of their mentality rather than their behavior. These idealistic thoughts are expressed with an excellent diction.
