Capital role in Iranian agriculture growth

The objective of this study was to analysis role of different forms of capital including physical, human and social in the Iranian agriculture growth. To get the objective, neoclassical growth model as well as data for 1975-2008 was applied. Rate of literacy movement enrolment and primary school enrolment were applied as human capital indicators. While changes in paved rural road and rate of rural phone coverage were used as measures of social capital. The results suggest that physical capital’s role is more significant than other types of capital as its return is larger than 0.3 followed by social capital. While an insignificant contribution was left for human capital.
