Female Audience Readings and Decryption of Popular Satellite Movies (case study of sari)

Nowadays, based on theories of cultural studies, popular movies are considered as Media Productions that provide readings and rereadings of various and sometimes conflicting ideas. These kinds of readings are a secondary production and include a number of different reasons and incentives. Therefore, present research studies female audience readings and decryption of popular satellite movies using survey method, and exploratory interviews. Sample volume was 400women from Sari. Data obtained were analyzed through statistical techniques (Binomial Test). Findings indicated that 85% of respondents watched and decoded the films with variable of escape from reality. They used variable of lack of love for solving their romantic problems a lot. Overall, the results suggest that women watch and decode TV serials through identifying themselves with cast of series, reproduction of feminine identity, representation of past and escape from reality.
