A SOCIOLOGICAL STUDY OF SAFTY AND QUALITY OF LIFE OF GRANDPARENTS IN TEHRAN CITY

The paper Explores and reflects grandparent's health, social and economic status in Tehran city. Grandparent's study would help younger generations how to plan their health in order to have healthy ageing in future. Similarly, the paper identifies various dimensions of the quality of life of the ageing grandparents as associated with their safety. Similarly, a representation of elderly's health disorders would help in projecting how to plan for the younger generations moving towards their "third age". The paper evaluates how social, economic and caring conditions among the grandparents are different from each other. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of data presents clear reflections on these increasing people not only in Tehran city, but it works as a powerful screening tool of the entire Iran. The method of research used in the present paper is empirical, preceded by theoretical and literature review. In the process of research, 452 families with grandparents have been referred to, through designed questionnaires.
