An Analysis on the Interaction Between Organizational Trust and Organizational Silence of Staff (Case Study: Staff and Faculty Members of University)

Abstract:
Objectives
The purpose of the present research is to examine the relationship between organizational trust and organizational silence.
Method
This study is functional in purpose and descriptive-correlation of the type. The study sample is consisted of 759 employees and university faculty members of AvicennaUniversity. The sample size is estimated in accordance with the Cochran 198 people and Sampling is done randomly stratified. To collect the data, organizational trust questionnaire of Paine and organizational silence questionnaire of Morrison and Milliken is used. The reliability of both questionnaires using Cronbach's alpha was calculated as 0/91 and 0/92. In order to analyze the data, the software was used LISREL.8.53 SPSS.20 and the result of this analysis in the form of descriptive statistics and inferential statistics and structural equation modeling is presented.
Results
The results of the Pearson correlation test indicate a significant negative correlation between organizational trust and its components( with the exception of visitation and mutuality Control), and organizational silence. Also check out the Goodness indicators, showed that the model used in the study had an acceptable fit and are based on conceptual models.
Conclusion
The author of the research concludes that improving organizational trust among staff and faculty is one of the essential factors in encouraging staff to provide constructive comments about the issues facing the organization.
