The Relationship between social capital and productivity among personnel of Sport and youth administrations in West Azerbaijan Province

The purpose of the study was to investigate relationship between social capital and productivity among Personnel of Sport and youth Administrations in West Azerbaijan Province.
The method of study was descriptive - correlation. The statistical population includes the administrations of Sport and Youth staff of Azerbaijan Province whose education degree was at least diploma (N=110), the sample size Using Morgan sampling table was determined 85 persons (n=85). For data collection, two instruments were used including a questionnaire of social capital that consisted of 20 questions, and a questionnaire of productivity with 42 questions. The face validity of the questionnaire was confirmed and their reliability with Cronbach’s alpha test was obtained 0.87 and 0.83 respectively. The data were analyzed by Spearman and multiple-regression tests.
Results showed that, there are positive and significant relationships between social capital with productivity (r=0.367, p=0.001), between cognitive dimension of social capital with productivity (r=0.449, p=0.001), and structure dimension of social capital with productivity (r=0.347, p=0.001). Also, the results of multiple regression showed that the structure and cognitive dimensions of social capital predict 23.1 of the variance of productivity (F=15.03, p=0.001).
According to the results of this study, in order to increase the productivity of staff, paying attention to social capital is an inevitable case.
