Investigating the Effect of Oil Revenues on the Value Added of Subsectors of Iran's Manufactory with State-Space Model

Abstract:
Given the Iran’s economy dependence on oil revenues and the considerable importance of manufacturing development on the economic development of the country, this paper this paper have investigated the effect of oil revenue on 8 subsectors of manufactory during 1353-1391. The State-Space Model have used in this paper. The results show that oil revenues has significant positive impact on the value added of "Food , beverages and tobacco" , "paper, cardboard, printing and binding", "Chemical " and "industrial machinery and equipment". Whereas oil revenue has a significant negative impact on value-added of " wood and wood products" manufactories, and has no effects on other subsectors. Also, the estimation results show that the technology has a significant remarkable effect on the value added of subsectors of Iran’s Manufactory. The results, in line with the policies of economic resistance show the need for optimal management of oil revenues to develop the subsectors of the manufactory in the country.
