Semiotics of character's name in "Zakeratul- Jasad" novel by Ahlaam Mostaghnami (The two main characters)

Semiotic is an operation throughout the text which tries to reveal the main purpose of applying words and also to open a new horizon to reader's view. In present time, however there are many novels written by novelists. “Zakeratul-Jasad " is a work by a famous Algerian novelist Ahlaam mostaghnami whose work is admired and cherished between readers.It is distinguishable because of her hard work, trying to awaken the readers mind and make them think of different new meanings. It is obvious that main characters play the main roles and they are the best tools to show writer's thoughts. As it is shown in this novel, the names of the two main characters have several meanings. My purpose is to discover the relationship between characters and their names. Also to show that how much successful the writer was in conveying her thoughts. Ive done this by semiotic during the text.The best result of this work would be, "Kaalid", the main man character meaning "eternal" refers to Algerian" warriors "and "heroes" also an invitation to continue of their belief and path. The main woman role in this novel has two names: "Hayaat" ,and "Ahlaam". "Hayaat" means "mother land”, "love", and "mother". They are all related to each other. "Ahlaam" has two opposite meanings, "full field wishes" and " unattainable dreams".
