A Survey on The Ethical Phenomenon of " Repentance and Asking for forgiveness" In Nahj al-Balagha and Alarba un Hadithan Through Intertextual Approach

Repentance and asking for forgiveness are the two subjects dealt with a lot in Nahj al-Balagha and other works influenced by it. Among the contemporary works, Alarba’un Hadithan by Imam Khomeini contains views and ideas about the issue of repentance and asking for forgiveness. This shows that Imam Khomeini was effectively under the influence of Imam Ali’s ideas and literature. On the other hand, one of the new methods of studying a text is intertextuality which is dealing with connection and relations between texts; according to this method, texts and their writers are under influence of each other and they benefit consciously or unconsciously from their former or contemporary works. Therefore, this research is trying to review Inter textuality of Nahj al-Balagha in Alarba’un Hadithan by Imam Khomeini on the issue of repentance and asking for forgiveness, in order to provide a new analysis from Imam Khomeini’s adopted methods and the ways of being influenced by Nahj al-Balagha. Reviewing the two texts reveals the reign and great influence of Imam Ali’s words on mystics such as Imam Khomeini. Also, through intertextual analysis of the two texts, the research comes to this conclusion that the most frequent theme of intertextual relation is the purports one which comes from the parallel negation type and then the rhetorical intertextual relation drawing from particular negation type.
