The Canonical Analysis of the Relationships between Self-efficiency and Organizational Adaptability Capacity

Abstract:
Having the capacity of adaptability is one of the affecting factors of modern organizations success in response to changing customer demands and environment changes. The aim of this research is to investigate the relationship between self-efficiency and organizational capacity of adaptability. Statistical population of this research, conducted in 2015 in Ahwaz, includes all the faculty members of Shahid Chamran, Medical Science and Payam-e-Noor universities. Using stratified random sampling, 313 samples were selected from the population. The method of the research is canonical correlation. For collecting the data, the standard questionnaires “Susman and Streakman Adaptability Capacity” and “Riggs and Knight Self - efficacy” were used. For analyzing the data of the research, Canonical correlation method was used. The results showed that except the individual self-efficiency beliefs, all the components of self-efficiency are in relation with the organizational capacity and self-efficiency explains 37% of organizational adaptability changes.
