The Study of the relationship between Job stress and spiritual health of nurses working in Intensive care ward at Bushehr Hospitals

Occupational stress consists physical and emotional impacts on staffs and decreased efficacy is system.The effective method for decrease nurses stress improve their spiritual health.
The aim of this study was the relationship between Job stress and spiritual health of nurses in Intensive care ward at Bushehr Hospitals .
This was descriptive- analytic (cross sectional) study. In which 140 nurses, working in critical care units of Bushehr Hospitals were selected through census sampling. The tools of data collection were spiritual health Paloutzian & Ellison questionnaire and hospital job stress HSS 35 questionnaires that were completed by self-report. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistical, pearson correlation and SPSS 23 software.
The results of study indicated that (46.4 %) of nurses have high stress. The total score mean of Spiritual health was 99.96±36.72. Pearson correlation test showed that in its all areas, there was negative and meaningful correlation between job stress and spiritual health (P0.05).
Conculsion: According to the results of this study, increasing nurses’ spiritual health is related to decreasing their job stress that should be considered by nursing managment.
