Opportunity Recognition and Prioritization of Light Commercial Vehicles in Mobile Medical Clinic Development

Abstract:
Based on the usage types of commercial vehicles, these vehicles are divided into several groups which can provide various mobile services in health sectors in different circumstances such as deprived areas, tourist resorts and critical situations. Based on opportunity recognition theory of demand-side; this research is trying to identify and prioritize the opportunities of using vehicles in Iran mobile health clinics. The research population consists of healthcare experts and the data collected in qualitative part of research by the semi-structured interviews, were assessed by content analysis and open coding techniques and statistical techniques were applied to analyze collected data from the questionnaires in quantitative part. To prioritize the types of opportunities recognized in the qualitative phase, Friedman test was used. The results of this research reveals that many opportunities in mobile services in health core sector were categorized into five main areas including education and counseling, screening, immunization, specialized health and laboratory.
