The Observation of the Level of Social Capital and its Relationship with Psychological Capital in Azad University-District 5

The study aimed to assess the level of social capital in the Islamic Azad University and its relation with psychological capital.
The present study is an applied research correlated with a descriptive research project. There were 375 employees of Azad University who were selected randomly as the sample. In order to collect the data, the researcher has used Nahapiet and Ghoshal questionnaire (1998) as well as Luthans et al questionnaire (2007). By applying Cronbach’s alpha method, the validity of social capital (0/84) and psychological capital (88/0) was calculated. Data analysis was performed with Pearson correlation, multiple linear Resresion, ANOVA as well as structural equation modeling in the SPSS software.
The level of “social capital” and “psychological capital” in Azad University was evaluated by “average” and “poor”. It is noteworthy to mention that a significant and positive correlation (0/79) was observed between social capital and psychological capital (p=0/001). The cognitive, communicational and structural dimensions of social capital had respectively the highest regression effect on psychological capital and all of them were predictor for the psychological capital of Azad University (P Considering the point that the level of the social capital of Azad University was evaluated as average and all aspects of social capital were significant predictors of psychological capital, the improvement of the social capital level, mainly the cognitive dimension, will be resulted to the promotion of the related organization, Azad University .
