The present paper examined this question that how Bandar Abbas lost its economic and transit significance under the first Pahlavi period, and reflects on whether the new development and economic renovation policy under the first Pahlavi was in any way responsible for the collapse of Bandar Abbas’ economic glamour and prosperity.
