The application rate of five elements of Caldwell and Spink's strategic management in Tehran libraries of Intellectual Development Center of Children and Adolescents

Itstudies the use rate of five elements of Caldwell & Spinks strategic management in the libraries of intellectual development center of children and adolescents of Tehran City.
This is an analytic-survey study. A research-made questionnaire based on five components of the model was developed and distributed to 167 M.S/PhD staff members.
Findings: Among five components of Caldwell & Spinks strategic management, considering information exchange and the processes empowering the libraries of intellectual development center of children and adolescents received first and last place respectively. Although, it was supposed to be a difference between administrators’ majors and their opinions about using strategic management elements, the data show that there is no significant difference between the views of administrators majoring in librarianship, non-librarianship, and even management about their approach towards strategic management.
Five management components are highly followed in Tehran libraries of intellectual development center of children and adolescents fulfilled between 5.68% and 7.75%. But, to achieve a desirable status and 100% fulfillment, each element particularly empowering ones need to be considered more.
