Relationship between organizational factors and librarian's productivity of the public libraries in Hamedan province

Abstract:
Purpose
This study examined the relationship between organizational factors and librarians’ productivity of the public libraries in Hamedan province, according to the model of Richard E. Kopelman’s organizational factors.
Methodology
This applied research was done using a survey method. Two researcher-made questionnaires ‘organizational factors’ and ‘productivity’ were instrument for gathering data. Statistical population was consisted of all public librarians at Hamedan province to 127 people and ultimately 97 questionnaires were collected. The data analysis took place by means of SPSS16 statistical software at the level of descriptive and inferential statistical (Pearson’s Correlation Test, Analysis of variance test (ANOVA)).
Findings: The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between organizational factors and the productivity of librarians at (P
Conclusion
Improving organizational factors increases the productivity of librarians. We need to take an action to strengthen organizational factors in the public libraries in Hamedan province.
