Servitude Indexes in Quran and Hadiths

Index, is a sign or something that indicates the presence or absence of an attribute in individual. Servitude, express humility, modesty and absolute obedience towards God, and unconditional surrender to Him in all areas. In this article after studying more than 200 verses of the Quran on the issue of servitude and worship and after referring to early and late, Shia and Sunni exegeses of Quran and studying Shia Hadith sources, this result obtained that piety (Taqwa) is the most important characteristics of servants. «Sincerity» and «Worship» are two other important indexes. The other indices are «thanksgiving to God», «repent and return to God», «humility and avoidance of pride», «patience», «kindness» and «complaisant».
