A Study and Analysis of Migration Pattern in Razavi Khorasan Province

Today, migration, disarranging the demographic balance of population, has led to some haunted places in the country; In contrast, some parts of the country are suffering from demographic pressures. The consequence is the pressure on natural and environmental resources and costs increase in services in densely populated areas. Hence, in order to avoid pressure on resources in specific parts of the country, recognition of the migration patterns and its causes can have a significant role in equal development of all regions of the country and prevention of migration. In this research, while investigating the causes of immigration and attracting migrates of Razavi Khorasan province to other provinces, the prevalent pattern of migration movements in Khorasan Razavi province has been studied. This research, in terms of goal, is practical and has been conducted in a descriptive–analytic method. The data collected from Census 2011 were analyzed using secondary analysis and statistical softwares. The results of research showed that 45.68 percent of immigrants entered into Mashhad city and 41.5 percent of immigrants entered into Sabzevar city were from other provinces. In other words, these cities have had the most immigrants rather than the other cities of Razavi Khorasan province. Furthermore the findings of research showed that the majority of migrants moves of Razavi Khorasan province happened within its cities, and from other provinces of the country other than Tehran, few immigrants enter into the province.
