Identification of Risk Factors of Supply Chain and Supplier Selection with Analytical Network Process (Case: Automobile Indastry)

As the world has changed through breakthroughs in late century, supply chains have become more complex and this complexity has made them face risks. So managers must manage different risks in their increasingly competitive environments and risk management has become a critical component of supply chain management. The purpose of this article is apply an appropriate methodology for evaluating and ranking suppliers in an automotive manufacturing company. To gain the purpose we identified and ranked supply chain risks by using analytical hierarchical process. Then we considered these risks as selection factors in supplier selection process and rank suppliers with the help of analytical network process. In fact considering supply chain risks in supplier selection process has been proposed as a new strategy in managing supply chain risks and reducing vulnerability against risks.
