A Description of the Logistics System of IRI Air Force based on the combat power components during the Holy Defense

Abstract:
The Holy Defense era is a university the lessons of which need to be transferred to the next generations. Therefore, this research explains the logistics system condition of IRI Air Force based on the combat power components during the Holy Defense. It is an applied historical research. The data has been gathered from first-hand sources including books, images and verbal sources. The statistical population includes the documents related to the subject of the research and commanders in charge at the time of the Holy Defense. The studies show that the logistics system condition of IRI Air Force regarding the fighter planes readiness, cargo planes readiness, the number of repaired planes and the in-force overhauls in addition to the logistic items bought and delegated to the bases have affected the combat power. All in all, the logistics system condition of Air Force has greatly affected the combat power because the Air Force has had the readiness required for the accomplishment of the assigned missions. This is particularly prominent during the first years of war in hindering the enemy’s advancement.
