Comparison the Behavior of Plagiarism and Risk Factors of Plagiarism among Talented Students and Other Students at the University of Shiraz

Abstract:
This study aimed to compare the behavior of plagiarism and risk factors of plagiarism among talented students and other students at Shiraz University. This study was based on causal-comparative method. The statistical population of this research included the whole students at Shiraz University. The sample size was 156 students (78 talented students that were selected by purposeful sampling and 78other students that were selected by random sampling). The behavior of plagiarism questionnaire andeffective factors on plagiarism questionnaire were used for measuring of students’ behavior of plagiarism and effective factors on plagiarism. Analysis of data using multivariable analysis of variance showed that in behavior of plagiarism average score of otherstudents was significantly higher than talented student(p0/05). According to the finding of this research, we can say that with increasing the knowledge and attitude of students about plagiarism and improving of their academic ability, plagiarism can be reduced.
