Analysis of Structural Vulnerability of Hospitals in Terms of Passive Defense Measures, Using FAHP (Case Study: The City of Dezful)

Abstract:
Due to the particular importance of hospitals and health centers structures and with an eye toward their level of performance in the time of natural disasters and wars, the analysis of vulnerability of hospitals and health centers structures gains significant importance. The aim of the present study is to analyze the vulnerability of hospitals structures from the perspective of passive defense. The main data of this survey which encompasses information regarding studies cases of health centers and hospitals were gained via the field studies in the form of observation, interview, and questionnaire. For the analysis of the information and data, the softwares of Expert Choice, Excel, and ArcGIS were used. The employed model, namely that of Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy was used through inquiry of five experts (five faculty members of the civil engineering department of Jondishapour University of Dezful). In the present survey, three hospitals (Ganjavian, Ayatollah Nabavi,and Afshar) were analyzed as studied cases. The findings of the research demonstrated that Afshar hospital with the rate of 2/069158 has the highest level of structural vulnerability among the hospitals of Dezful. Ayatollah Nabavi hospital with the vulnerability of 1/834399 that comes next. Ganjavian hospital with the figure of 1/426003 has the lowest rate of structural vulnerability among these hospitals of Dezful.
