The relationship between early maladaptive schemas, cognitive emotion regulation strategies and perfectionism and alexithymia in cardiac patients

Abstract:
today's most common diseases as cardiovascular disease in developed countries is considered to be serious. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the domains of early maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and perfectionism, alexithymia in patients with heart failure. The research method was descriptive and correlational. The sample included all cardiac patients referred to medical centers in Ahvaz in 2016. Of these, 150 heart patients, including 70 male and 80 female were selected using a sampling method. To collect data, alexithymia Ahvaz AAS-26, perfectionism scale, and cognitive emotion regulation strategies questionnaire was used. Data analysis and regression analysis was performed using Pearson's correlation coefficient. The results showed a significant negative correlation between positive cognitive emotion regulation and positive relationship with alexithymia significantly between negative cognitive regulation of emotion there with alexithymia. The positive relationship between components worry about mistakes and doubts about actions and expectations of parents, parent feedback, personal standards, there is clarity. The results showed that cognitive emotion regulation strategies and perfectionism predictor of alexithymia in students. The results of this study can help researchers and therapists in the field of alexithymia factors affecting helpful.
