Persian Multiple-Core Clauses The study of non-finite core according to RRG

This paper studies different core nexus in the Persian language. Different linked cores at this level are in the scope of a single tense operator because the tense operator has scope over higher level than the core level it means clause level. Each of the linked cores in this level can be specified independently for aspect because the aspect operator has scope over lower level than the core level, nucleus. As the tense operator can be specified only in the clause level, the concepts of subjunctive past and subjunctive present tense in the core level in the Persian language isn’t correct and what works as a tense operator according to traditional grammar, is in fact the aspect operator. The study shows in Persian language the root modals (e.g. ability, permission, and obligation) represents non-subordination core juncture to build a single clause.
