Comparison of Marital Satisfaction, Quality of Life, Psychological Well-being and Psychological Resilience of Education Sector and Non-education Sector Employed Women and Unemployed Housewives in Bushehr City

The present study was carried out to compare marital satisfaction, quality of life, psychological well-being and psychological resilience of education sector and non-education sector employed women and housewives of Bushehr. The research method is a comparative-scientific, post-event type. In this research, the statistical society constituted of all education sector employed women, non-education sector employed women and housewives of Bushehr city which consisted 1900 education sector employed women, 7269 non-education sector employed women and 38504 housewives. The statistical sample is based on a cluster sampling method consisting of 60 education sector employed women and 60 non- education sector employed women as well as 60 housewives. The tools used were ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire, Conner & Davidson Resilience Scale, Quality of Life of the World Health Organization and psychological well-being. The results showed that housewives had more marital satisfaction than other groups. Education sector employed women had higher quality of life than other groups. Education sector employed women had more psychological well-being than other groups. Education sector employed women had higher resilience than other groups.
