A Stylistic, Syntactic, and Phonoaesthetic Study of the Arbaeen Ziarat-Text

The Shiite ziarat-texts share similar high values as other literary texts do. Hence, the reader will ascend to a higher literary joy if their stylistic delicacies are well appreciated.
The Arbaeen ziarat-text is described as a yardstick for recognizing devout Muslims. Apart from the sublime status of Imam al-Husayn as highlighted in it, its analysis on the two phonoaesthetic and syntactic planes render its internal beauty that reinforces its semantic and pragmatic implications and implicatures. Its nominal and verbal Arabic sentences stress the unique status of Imam al-Husayn, while its shorter sentences pertain to the emotive side of the ziarat-text in question. Besides mirroring its original composer, the sixth Infallible Imam Ja`far al-Sadiq's speculation on the Ashura episode, the Arbaeen ziarat-text has many other educative implications.
