Legal status of Acts of Supreme National Security Council in the Constitutional Law System o Iran

One of the most important strategies of building national security, is to create ultra-judicial institutions with the competency of making binding decisions on all defense and security issues of the country. In the ConstitutionalLaw System of Islamic Republic of Iran, Supreme National Security Council who first entered our country's Constitution Law System during the revision of constitutionallaw, is responsible for this role and based on the recent part of Article 176 of constitutionallaw, its decisions cab be implemented after the confirmation by Leader. However, according to the existing uncertainties regarding the legal status of these acts, the present study aims to answer the general question that what is the status of Acts of Supreme National Security Council in the Constitutional Law System of Islamic Republic of Iran? And relying on the descriptive-analytical method studies the different aspects of the issue. Studying the legal documents such as the views of Guardian Council and votes of some jurisdictions indicate this fact that Acts of Supreme National Security Council are considered as normal rules in terms of law and at the same time, due to the independent structure of the institution approving it, cannotextinct(be fellinto desuetude) or changed.
