Abstract:
In order to understand the Quran, it is essential to consider the exact meanings of the words of the Quran and consult philologists about them; it is not appropriate to rely on exegetical words for the exegete or the interpreter of the Quran may have translated the word with his own intellectual tendency. The philologists are also likely to make errors in giving proper meanings as they might confuse between the meanings in which a word is used and the meaning which it was first coined for. It is, therefore, necessary for an exegete to refer to different authentic philological books so that he may interpret and translate the terms as correctly as he possibly can, or else, instead of unveiling the words of God, he might end up adding further ambiguity to them and their actual meanings. This study seeks to mention instances of misinterpretation of words due to the interpreter's intellectual biases and tendencies so that the translation and interpretation are not viewed to be simple and effortless.
