Abstract:

The Khaveh plain and the Mirbag area in Delfan county are among the most well-known parts of Central Zagros. Settlements such as Tepe Jamshidi, Tepe Abdul Hossein in the Khaveh plain and Tepe Noorabad and Tepe Babajan in the central part of Delfan county have been explored by Ghirshman, Pollar, Seyed Sajjadi, and Goff respectively. In this article, the information obtained from the first survey season in the region has been collected. Then, using the archeological information of the region and comparative study, a chronology is proposed. In general, the area is enclosed between two high mountain ranges, Grin and Sefid Kouh, and it seems that the process of cultural evolution in it was different compared to the wide plains and in relation to the neighboring areas in the central Zagros. In this article, settlements with cultural evidence of a period are introduced as Indicative sites. Then, based on archaeological investigations, the hierarchy and the process of changing the settlement pattern and other conditions of ancient settlements have been evaluated and analyzed.
