The Effectiveness of Intimacy Education with Islamic Approach on Improving the Performance of Families of Married

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of intimate education with an Islamic approach on the performance of married women's family. The research was semi-experimental and used the pre-test and post-test with control group design. The statistical population consisted of all women referring to the Ziaee counseling center in Meybod city from Farvardin to September 2013. The sample consisted of 28 married women who were selected using convenience sampling method and randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The dependent variable was family’s performance, which was measured by FAD test. The experimental group participated in eight sessions of intimacy training with an Islamic approach whereas the control group did not receive any treatment. The results of the covariance analysis showed that the difference in the pre-test and post-test mean scores of the subjects in the two groups (experimental and control) was significant in the overall performance variable. Also, the dimensions of communication, roles and overall performance increased significantly in the post-test stage. But there was no significant difference in terms of problem solving, emotional responsiveness, emotional involvement and behavior control.
