onomastic of characters in the story collection "Setar"of Jalal Al Ahmad

The people power of identification with characters of stories is too much. Characters of story are the sameness of people in society and the reader see him/herself in the position of the character when he/she reads the story; so the analyzing characters and heroes is necessary. One of the methods to know better the characters of story is using Onomastic. The writer introduces the characters by using different names and different ways in naming them. Knowing the actor characters in the story, help us to know the inner layer of the work. Also, studying type and motivation of naming characters, whether consciously or unconsciously, can appear the attitudes, thoughts and tendencies of writer. Al Ahmad is one of the famous writers that has different effects on writing story after himself. With regard to his different ideological periods, his story characters are different. Studying elements of story is necessary for better understanding of an event and became closer to universal standard of writing story. Studying characters and even character types and methods of naming them help us to know the purpose of story and reach to the plot. In this research we study Onomastic of characters in the story collection "Setar".
