Petro-nationalism in Iran and Its Interaction with Structural Developments of World Oil Market

This article studies Petro-nationalism Trend and its outcomes in Iran in 1921-1981 era and tries to categorize Petro-nationalism ideas and acts with focus on interior rational of these movements. Petro independence movements in oil rich countries refused colonial interventions of oil majors and their supporter western state and emphasized on sovereignty and ownership on oil reserves and industry that is called as petro-nationalism. According to article hypothesis, Petro-nationalism in Iran in this era has affected from social depth grade of adherent forces inside the country and structural features of world oil market and we can categorize these ideas and actions according to their goals and accomplishments to five distinct periods. The article shows that categorizing petro-nationalism in these five distinct periods, help us to better understanding of oil politics in Iran and other oil rich countries and main evolutions in world oil market in every period. Meanwhile, features of every period, method of actions of oil corporations, nature of anticolonial movements, goals and accomplishments of these movements have studied distinctly.
