The comparative study of battle clothing based on paintings of manuscripts in the schools of Harat and Tabriz

Abstract:
One of the investigable issues about study of paintings is type of cloths which is different due to the subject of painting and political, cultural and social aspects in any period of time. The aim of this study is comparative study of battle cloth from manuscript paintings in the schools Harat and Tabriz and battle cloth evolution in these schools through introduction of cloth that has been used in the battle paintings. So the questions are: 1. how battle cloth had been displayed in Harat and Tabriz schools in manuscript and is there reconstruction possibility of this type of cloth? 2. Can we understand evolution of battle cloth in mentioned schools by study of paintings? The findings suggest that artists have shown the reflection of reality of society in painting, so we can reconstruct battle cloth in Harat and Tabriz schools painting along with usage of texts. On the other hand study of mentioned paintings demonstrated evolution of battle cloth at any period. Current study is a historical research and used comparative analysis approach and the required date collected via librarian method.
