The Efficacy of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on Type A Personality, Happiness and Loneliness in adolescents living in the Correctional and Rehabilitation Center

Juvenile delinquency is increasing in many countries including Iran which has negative psychological consequences for this stratum. The aim of this study was to evaluate The Efficacy of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on Type A Personality, Happiness and Loneliness in adolescents living in the Correctional and Rehabilitation Center. A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest study design was used to conduct this study. The population consisted of all adolescents of the boy living in Tabriz's correctional and rehabilitation center, during 2017. Based on acceptance and commitment therapy protocol an 8 session intervention was conducted over a period of 2 months and a Type A Personality, Oxford Happiness and Asher Loneliness Questionnaires was completed before and after the intervention in both groups. Descriptive statistics and MANCOVA using were used for data analysis in SPSS V.22.
